Metro Mondego is launching its new communication campaign today, “Mobility that grows with you,” which aims to prepare for the start of the Metrobus operation between Portagem and Serpins stations, scheduled for the end of the year, reinforcing the company's commitment to more modern and sustainable mobility.
Designed to signal the start of operations for the Mondego Mobility System (SMM), this campaign by Metro Mondego aims to inform and engage the public, highlighting the advantages of the new public transport system. The Metrobus stands out as a fast, reliable, comfortable and environmentally sustainable means of transport, designed to meet the current and future needs of the region.
“This campaign portrays the transition to a new era of mobility in the Coimbra region. More than just a means of transport, the Metrobus is a system that is constantly evolving, keeping pace with different routines and improving the quality of life for the population. It is a project that will transform the Region,” emphasizes Ricardo Jesus Cândido, Executive Director of Metro Mondego, S.A.
Mobility that grows with the community
The campaign takes place in two phases: the first before the start of the opening of the suburban section and the second phase with the operation already underway on the suburban section, operating the Serpins-Portagem connection. This progressive nature is reflected in the communication campaign, which will end at the end of the year.
The slogan “Mobility that grows with you” translates the essence of the communication concept: the movement, fluidity, and progress that Metrobus brings to the region, the continuous development of the system, and the proximity to citizens, promoting trust and a sense of belonging on the part of the community.
The campaign adopts a 360º approach, with informative and entertainment content developed for social networks, mass media, and physical media, ensuring consistent and integrated communication for all audiences.
Based on four pillars - Sustainability and Innovation; Modernity and Transformation; Convenience and Efficiency; Quality of Life and Community - the campaign symbolizes a new way of living in the Coimbra Region.

Metro Mondego is a public limited company with exclusively public capital, holding the concession for the implementation, operation and maintenance of the infrastructure of a public road passenger transport system in its own area, in the municipalities of Coimbra, Miranda do Corvo and Lousã, designated as the “Metrobus” system.
