As part of the construction of the Portagem – Coimbra-B urban section of the Mondego Mobility System (SMM), under the responsibility of Infraestruturas de Portugal (IP), a temporary traffic closure will be necessary in the Coimbra-B Tunnel between 9:00 am on August 21st and 6:00 pm on August 22nd, 2025.
This short-term closure is essential for the safe dismantling of shoring and formwork supporting the pedestrian crossing.
During this period, drivers will be able to use the alternative routes shown in the image below, via the detours implemented in the Choupal Tunnel area, which provide access to Avenida Fernão de Magalhães from Rua Pinto dos Santos. Once this work is completed, the Coimbra-B Tunnel will fully reopen to traffic.
