This weekend, August 23 and 24, Metro Mondego will carry out a demonstration of the Mondego Mobility System, between the Portagem and Vale das Flores stations.
The event will run from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with Metrobus vehicles departing every 15 minutes and stopping at the eight intermediate stations along the route: Parque, Colégios, Arregaça, Norton de Matos, São José, Solum, Fernando Namora, and Casa Branca.
Each Metrobus vehicle can carry up to 136 passengers, including those with reduced mobility.
This is an excellent opportunity to take a first — and free — ride under conditions very close to those that will characterize the system once it enters commercial operation, which is expected to happen in the last quarter of this year.
A similar demonstration is also planned for the Municipality of Lousã and will be announced in due course.
