Changes to road traffic flow at the HUC (University Hospitals of Coimbra)

This Tuesday, May 26th, paving work will begin at the northern entrance of the University Hospitals of Coimbra (HUC), between Rua Aníbal de Lima and the roundabout at Rua Dr. Afonso Romão. This section of road currently serves as the access to outpatient clinics, and traffic will temporarily be restricted to one-way exits only.

During this intervention, estimated to last one month, access to the HUC and outpatient clinics will be via Avenida Bissaya Barreto and Praceta Mota Pinto, as shown in the attached image.

Due to the impossibility of maintaining all existing pedestrian routes, pedestrians should respect the existing signage, which will indicate the appropriate crossing points.

The works to be carried out are as follows:

• Urban integration

• Electrical infrastructure

• Earthworks

• Paving

Metro Mondego, Águas de Coimbra and the Municipality of Coimbra appeal to the public for understanding regarding the temporary constraints that this phase may cause.
