Metro Mondego announces that it will increase Metrobus service on July 9 and 12—coinciding with the Coimbra Festas da Cidade—to meet the rise in demand associated with the processions.

For safety reasons, service along the urban section will be temporarily suspended while the processions pass, resuming as soon as conditions allow.

On July 9 (Thursday):

•            Before the procession, between 7:00 PM and 7:30 PM, service will be increased on the urban section between Portagem and Vale das Flores stations, with a 5-minute frequency in both directions.

•            Between 7:30 PM and midnight, service will be temporarily suspended between Portagem and Vale das Flores stations.

•            During this period, suburban service will begin at Portela Station, maintaining regular schedules to Lousã Station. Passenger transfers to Portela Station will be provided in coordination with SMTUC via line 54.

•            After the procession, between midnight and 1:30 AM, service will be increased again, with a frequency of 7.5 minutes in each direction.

On July 12 (Sunday):

•            Between 2:30 PM and 4:30 PM, Metrobus will also increase service on the urban section between Portagem and Vale das Flores, offering a frequency of 7.5 minutes in both directions.

•            Service will be suspended between 4:30 PM and 8:00 PM on the same urban section.

•            During the suspension, suburban service will begin at Portela Station, maintaining regular schedules to Lousã Station. Access to Portela Station will be provided by SMTUC via line 54.

•            Between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM, service will be increased again, maintaining a 7.5-minute frequency in both directions.

Metro Mondego advises passengers to plan their journeys in advance during the periods in question and to check the company's official channels for up-to-date operational information.

The company also reminds everyone of the importance of adhering to the rules for using the dedicated Metrobus lane, urging unauthorized individuals and vehicles to refrain from using the infrastructure for safety reasons.
