On August 29th, the Preliminary Operation began in Coimbra on an urban stretch, approximately 5 km long, between the Portagem and Vale das Flores stations, free of charge, every day (including weekends).

The estimated daily demand in the SMM Demand Study for the Vale das Flores – Portagem stretch was 1424 passengers.

In the week of September 29th to October 3rd, according to data collected by a third-party company, the average number of passengers transported daily was 7,070.

More recently, Metro Mondego requested a new count, and the external company determined, on December 3rd, a total of 9818 passengers transported per weekday.
